On the Move

On the Move

The world has always been in motion. Throughout history, people have left their homes and set out to build new lives. Just like today, some left voluntarily, while others were forced to go.

Among the many reasons for migration, issues such as security, community, and the economy stand out, as well as governance, expulsion, and religious conflicts.

Migration routes are not simply movements from point A to point B. They shape people’s lives and are marked by loss and uprooting, but also by new beginnings and hope. On their journeys, migrants experience violence and exclusion, but also receive help, refuge, and solidarity.
